The objective of this research is to assess whether college basketball teams and players are excessively relying on three-point shots. With each passing year since the introduction of the three-point shot, there has been a consistent increase in the number of three-point attempts taken. This study seeks to investigate whether teams and players have exceeded the statistically optimal percentage of their shots from beyond the arc. To do so, an all encompassing metric called a B-Score was created to compare successful players from their lesser counterparts.
